CIWPIS ONLINE STATUS DEFINITIONS

 

Additional information received / pending review – Additional information has been received at DEQ in response to a Correction Request letter, but it has not been reviewed.  Due to the volume of applications allow a minimum of 2-4 weeks from the date received for DEQ review. Please do not call DEQ for the status of the application during this time. 

 

Assigned to Field Reviewer – The application has been assigned to DEQ field staff for completeness review, OR the application has been forwarded to the District Field office following a determination of administrative completeness by Lansing staff.  The field reviewer will evaluate the project, perform a site-inspection and make the final permit decision.  Any questions or comments on the file should be directed to the assigned staff at the district office. 

 

Assigned to Lansing Reviewer – The application has been assigned to a Permit Consolidation Unit (PCU) reviewer, but has not been reviewed for administrative completeness.  Due to the volume of applications allow a minimum of 2-4 weeks from the date received for DEQ review.  Please do not call (PCU) for the status of the application during this time. 

 

Awaiting Review for Completeness – The application has been received, but has not yet been assigned to a DEQ reviewer.  Allow 2 to 5 days for the application to be assigned.

 

Waiting for Additional Information – Field – A letter requesting additional information necessary to determine the application’s administrative completeness has been mailed by field staff to the applicant and/or agent.  A response to the letter has not been received.  If this status has recently been posted, allow at least 4-5 days to receive the “Correction Request” letter.  Due to the volume of applications, call the field office only if you have specific questions about the content of the letter.

 

Waiting for Additional Information – Lansing A letter requesting additional information necessary to determine the application’s administrative completeness has been mailed by the Lansing reviewer to the applicant and/or agent.  A response to the letter has not been received.  If this status has recently been posted, allow at least 4-5 days to receive the “Correction Request” letter.  Due to the volume of applications,  call the Lansing reviewer only if you have specific questions about the content of the letter.

 

Permit Issued – The permit has been issued and a copy of the permit is being sent to the applicant and/or agent.  If you have not received the permit in the mail within 10 business days of this status change, contact the assigned District Field Staff.
