This general permit is not being revised at this time. As of July 6, 2010, the general permit to install for diesel fuel-fired generators is suspended from use due to the new federal National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for nitrogen dioxide (NO₂). Installation of a new diesel fuel-fired generator will require a case-by-case permit to install.

This general permit is not being revised at this time due to revisions to the federal New Source Performance Standards (NSPS). These regulations are under review and amendments to the general permit are pending. Until then, the general permit will continue to be used in the current format.
