Overview of the Renewable Operating Permit Program

The Department of Environmental Quality is seeking comment on the following Renewable Operating Permit (ROP) actions:

Please note that if a particular application cannot be opened or is not available, it is because that application was submitted using older customized software that is not readable by the public.  To receive a copy of those applications, please contact the District Office identified in the Public Notice.

General Motors Tech Center, Warren - SRN:  B4049
 The Department is holding a public comment period from January 20, 2012 until February 22, 2012 on proposed Permit to Install (PTI) number 160-11.  This comment period provides for future incorporation of the final PTIs into ROP No. MI-ROP-B4049-2009 as administrative amendment.

The public comment period for initial or renewal ROPs has ended and the Department of Environmental Quality has proposed the following Renewable Operating Permits to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for approval:

Those individuals who commented on draft permits during the 30 day public notice period may send comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 5, Permits and Grants Section, Mail Code AR 18J, 77 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois, 60604. The time period provided to petition the permit to EPA ends 60 days after EPA's 45-day review period ends (i.e., 105 calendar days after the specified start date of the EPA review).  See AQD's Rule 214(8) for further information.  Information is also provided regarding proposed actions that have gone directly to EPA review for modifications to existing ROPs.

The time period provided to petition an initial or renewal permit to EPA ends 60 days after EPA's 45-day review period ends, (i.e., 105 calendar days after the specified start date of the EPA review).  See AQD's Rule 214(8) for further information.
