Proposed Amendments to the Air Pollution Control Rules

SOAHR 2003-047EQ
On March 29, 2005, the  Request for Rulemaking (RFR) for revisions to the regulations for sulfur dioxide emissions (SO2) was withdrawn.  The DEQ had proposed to add new rules, R 336.1405 through R 336.1409, to replace the former Wayne County sulfur dioxide rules.  When the DEQ is ready to complete drafting the new rules, a new RFR will be submitted.

The proposed new rules will establish sulfur limits for facilities in Wayne County consistent with sulfur limits currently found in Michigan's State Implementation Plan.  These limits were contained in the Wayne County Ordinance when the Wayne County Air Pollution Control Office was dissolved.
