| On March 29,
2005, the Request for Rulemaking
(RFR) for revisions to the regulations for sulfur dioxide emissions (SO2)
was withdrawn.
The DEQ had proposed to add new rules, R 336.1405 through R 336.1409, to replace
the former Wayne County sulfur dioxide rules. When the DEQ is ready to
complete drafting the new rules, a new RFR will be submitted. The proposed new rules will establish sulfur limits for facilities in Wayne County consistent with sulfur limits currently found in Michigan's State Implementation Plan.
