| A public hearing was held on August 4, 1999, on a new rule, R 336.1933, to
regulate existing hospital, medical, and infectious waste incinerators. The rule
adopts by reference the federal regulations for hospital, medical, and infections waste
incinerators, and sets limits for mercury emissions that are more stringent than the federal
regulations. The amendment was filed with the Secretary of State on December 5,
2000, and went into effect on December 21, 2000.
